The Sailshed is a 1950's vintage garage that was used by Higgins Boat Yard as a varnishing shed and office for years. In the early 80's Higgins Yacht Yard utilized the garage as a sail shed. By the time 2003 rolled around it was time to convert this sail shed into two guest rooms, a perfect solution for the visitor who wants to enjoy the ambience of what is truly a part of St. Michaels’ history.

Located at the foot of Carpenter Street, the Sailshed is adjacent to our lovely Two Swan Inn overlooking the harbor front. The Island Lark room (named after our Chesapeake Bay Log Canoe) has a king size bed or two single beds and a private bath with tub and shower.

The Magic room (named after the Wilson family's Chesapeake Bay Log Canoe) has a double bed and a private bath with tub and shower. Both rooms have central heat, a/c, and a private deck overlooking the harbor front.

Rates:

The rate for a 2-night weekend/holiday* in high season** is $399.
A minimum two night stay is required on weekends.
